Today at a thrift store I found a Zenith trans oceanic multi band radio. I have not yet been able to test it because it is missing the AC power cord. I also don't have 9 D-cells on hand to try it using battery power.I hope someone here knows of a source for a replacement cord. It seems to require a 2 wire cord similar to the typical dvd player cord, but with slightly smaller pins a little closer together.
I know my Ampex recorders and suitcase amps can use Kirby vacuum cleaner cords. Perhaps one of you knows a substitute.
I couldn't find anything helpful searching this forum, eBay, or Antique Electronic Supply's website.
TIA,

Later Gator,
Crank up your talking machine, grab a jar of your favorite "kick-back", sit down, relax, and let the good times roll. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
I'm impressed. I had several in a drawer in my bathroom, and never considered them.
I'd be on the phone to these guys and, if they don't have it, I'd suggest you post at www.eham.com's boards where the old ham radio guys hang out.Cheers,
David
