Hello all. Just bought this tuner, waiting for delivery to replace a Ken KT7000 that I'll probably sell later. Just wondering if there's any modifications that could be done to it. I'll get a manual for it soon. Thanks, J

James,
Just a thought but should you decide to "play" with the opamps consider either making adapter sockets or even get them from Bill Ammons.
Let me know if you find any. I have two and one really outperforms the other by a wide margin.

I opened my tuner up yesterday and was looking at the circuitry and noticed a 4558 op-amp that was near wiring to the output level controls to the output. I'll look at a schematic to verify it's function. It might improve the audio using an op2227 dropped in it's place, there's also an SIP device near the amp, I didn't get a good look at it and write the part number down. J
Hello John, One of your tuners must be more up to spec than the other, making me think of sending mine to the shop for an alignment. The only mod I can think of doing now is getting 3 narrower ceramic filters to replace the stock filters. One person I know of is Bill Ammons(ammonsphx@eathlink.net), he sells matched filters and IF amplifier boards for adding more filters. I plan on starting with just the three filters and sockets to plug them in. J
