I would like to know what techs are out there to service one of these.
Follow Ups:
I can strongly recommend Tom Cadawas: he helped Dick Sequerra with the original design (a reasonable level of relevant expertise I would suggest). I found him helpful and reasonable and I have been completely satisfied with his work on my 10B as well as that undertaken on a Sequerra FM-1 and a Yamaha CT7000. His email address is: tcadawas@aol.com
He's on Long Island, right?I'd recommmend him too - he was either Marantz's production or test manager
SOmeone oughta interview him about his experiences while he's still around.
He was the Production Manager (I believe) and lives on Staten Island. The last time he worked on my 10B he actually drove into Midtown to deliver the unit.
By the way, he told me that early examples of the Yamaha CT-7000 were delivered from the factory not correctly aligned (and sometimes blew fuses). They found that when correctly set up they measured better than the Sequerra FM-1. I did confirm the story with him on the phone today...
I'll look at it but hate the thought of what the carriers could do to it.What's the problem?
Good morning,I am in the process of getting it from a friend. I would like to have it throughly bench tested and controls cleaned. What place are you working from ?
