In Reply to: Is Sonic Frontiers, Anthem, Assemblage still in business? posted by edta on July 25, 2002 at 19:27:42:
SFI was bought out by Paradigm back in '98), right after I left the company. They manufactured SFI and Anthem stuff right up until last fall. SF gear is on indefinite "hiatus", but the Anthem line is/has been geared toward more Home Theatre style stuff (MCA series and the processor stuff).

So Dman, I am curious. Exactly where did the job description "SFI Power2 line head" come from? How many hours did you spend "behind the wheel" of that Audio Precision test set, anyway?
Years at SFI on the Power 2 line- 1996 to 1998
I worked extensively with the "testers" using the AP-2 system ( they were in "control", so to speak and taught me how to do the measuring- although the ultimate sign-off on the gear was made by them!
The term was coined by myself and the original production manager and great friend, Ian Driver, who is also no longer under the employ of Paradigm/SFI. I was the only remaining guy of the pre-Paradigm SFI who knew the P-2 inside and out (literally!). I was never a technician, nor do I have the pretense to ever call myself one! Just an assembly worker who knows basic electronics.
I hope this answers any concerns you might have.
Cheers,
Dman
Just wondering how the older units on the used market stack up regarding support.
SFI and Anthem are still running in order to service warranty and general service, although I don't know the new phone number (someone posted it here a few days ago...)
Dman
Here's a quote from the anthemav.com website."Contact Technical Support regarding any Warranty and Non-Warranty issues for SFI or Anthem products you already own."
I don't know exactly what that means. I contacted them about doing an upgrade to my Amp 1 (a factory upgrade would keep the warranty intact) but they weren't interested. So I've taken soldering iron in hand and my warranty's toast!
Contact info and phone numbers are at the site listed above.
