It is double mica.
Has black plates.
Has a horse shoe getter which is on top and attached on one side.Has a small octagon label near top with " 12AU7 " inside.
The octagon is shaped like a stop sign-not the wider octagon. The rest of the label is worn off.
I think I am using the terms above correctly.
I know it is not any special NOS, but I am not sure what it is. It came with my Hagerman Cornet when I bought it and I forgot what he told me it was.
Any help is appreciated. I went through the tube pictures at Tubemonger and did not see anything like it, but am not sure.
Follow Ups:
Why not simply inquire of Hagerman once again (unless perhaps you have already done so a dozen times & always forgot)? This time write the answer down & tape to bottom of the Coronet. The stop sign shape around type# is indicative of RCA as brand source but not neccessarily the country of mfg origin as RCA (like all others) often imported to meet inventory or contractual obligations. Look for production codes etched (not printed) into the lower side of glass for tubes made by any Philips Co. affiliate.
Thanks for the response.
The tube was an after market from the seller of the unit to me-not Hagerman so he would not know.I had another person state it likely is an RCA also-but which model they were unsure.
Need more info:
What color is printing on tube?
Are plates long or short?
Are plates ladder/box type or 'bump' type (like GE 12AU7A)?
Is the stopsign at the top of the sides of the tube or upper middle?I have several different brands of tubes with the stopsign/12AU7 and the horseshoe getter w/blackplates. Any more info would help greatly.
