Very good. I just got a quad from boiaudioworks.com, and they are perfectly matched and sound better than any of the ones I had bought previously. Great-looking tube, too.

I was referring to my several past quads of Chinese and Russian KT66s (I've never owned GEC) ... The production quality of these present tubes seems higher than the older (~2004) Chinese KT66s I tried. These are also better-matched. But the construction is still not as good as the discontinued Russian Groove Tubes KT66. I think the Russian KT66s offer tighter bass and are a crisper midrange, but the high end is a bit cleaner / sweeter / snappier with the Shuguangs.
yeah, i used to have a sextet of the kt66hp's in my amp and they were probably my favorite too. i've used sovtek 5881 and kt66, rca 6l6gc, electro harmonics 6l6gc and svetlana winged c 6l6gc, and i still think i enjoyed the groove tubes best. i'm picking up some tungsol kt66's next... i have high hopes.
