But the SED KT88's were too warm in my CAD50's - the SED 6550's are about perfect in my present system using the Carys. FWIW - I'm using cheapo EH6SN7's and in this system they are not anywhere near being bright. I understand that others with other systems may not feel similarily.

I was thinking that the SED KT-88s might be the ticket. I think I may just try them to see! Thanks for the help.
I run a matched quad for going on two years,Really like them!
Pricy, but well worth it IMHO!
