Some RCA tubes were actually made by Siemens. Try to see if there is a number at the bottom of the tubes between pins. If the mica is a scalloped one with tiny spikes against the glass and not square-shaped, they are likely Siemens.
I hope it helps. If you can post a pic, it will be easier to identify them.
Cheers,
Clarence

Johnsan,Based on the description of the micas, the RCA - made in W. Germany, they're probably Siemens. Check for the seams in the glass at the top of the bottle. Four seams extending radially from the nipple. They may be quite pronounced our barely noticeable. If they have the seams, the micas, RCA made in W. Germany, then almost certainly Siemens. Many of the tubes Siemens made had a little metal tag with letters/numbers/symbols stamped into it attached to the support inside. Check for that too.
Hi Mike, yes they have all of the above, and the two 6DJ8's sound wonderful after only 4 or 5 hours of continuous play. So much more like music than the Sovtek's. A lucky find. Now, if only my contact had the other 6922. He only had the one.
The Siemens Tubes will also have a ridge running length wise on the O-getter support rod.
Yes, Benie, there is a ridge running the length of the O-getter support rod. All indications now, are that these tubes are of Siemens manufacture. I've put the two 6DJ8's in my AudioNote M2-B preamp and have had them running continuously for 30 hrs or so, and there is a definite type of sound emerging. I read a review of this preamp by one Art Dudley in Stereophile magazine and he mentioned that this preamp did not really image or set a soundstage as well as audiophiles might hope it to. I find that with this switch in output tubes, I am getting the same HUGE presentation with a great big added spoonfull of imaging and soundstage-ing. I am very glad to have found them digging, digging, digging.
Hello Clarence, I just picked them up along with a single gold pin 6922 RCA made in W. Germany. The mica is indeed scalloped with sharp spikes and a #33 on the bottoms of the 6DJ8's. The gold pinned 6922 has no #'s on the bottom, but it too has the spiked mica and a number imprinted on the side: 6513.Sounds like what you were describing.
