Some say its fixed and some say no..I would definitely make sure you have the seller hand select the tubes even if it costs a couple bucks extra..They do sound very good and its just a shame about these issues.

My friend Jim Mcshane has the EH 6ca7 fat bottles and you might want to pick up a quad of those becuase they are really an amazing tube also..What I like about the FB is they sound and act more like the 6L6gc/KT88 and they really are perfectly made..They dont cost very much and even if you get the JJ Kt77s later its nice to have tubes to roll and compare..They are a very impressive looking tube and I run them in my marantz 8 and Im redoing a pair of marantz 2s for a gentleman and they sound fabulous in there to.
Changing back to the proper pin size was alleged to be happening in May. That's fine. What about the existing stocks?
