The EH has the typical Novisibursk setup; bottom getter, 'chinese hat' getter pan. The Tung-Sol has top getter, 'halo' getter pan, a little different rod structure. The plates themselves are almost identical, except that the EH has three or four dozen little spot welds holding the plate halves together, where the TS has a very pretty continuous weld.I like them both, but so far, the Tung-Sol is just a little better.
Aloha,
Follow Ups:
I have noticed some of the "re-issuse" tubes have steep prices. The EH 6v6 is nice and cheap. Regardless thanks for the info, I will have to give the Tung-Sol a try.
They're a little higher than the EH, but not bad. I pay about $40 for a quartet of EH, shipped; and about $48 for the Tung-Sol. Not bad, when guys are popping a grand for a pair of WE 300Bs.Aloha,
I just went and looked at the invoice; it was $60 plus shipping, so about $68.
