How can I use the pass thru feature with an older digital processor that does not have triggers? The sales guy said that McIntosh recommended a 120 AC to 5v DC wall-wart plugged into the 120v switched plug on the back of my processor and the pass thru jack respectively. But when I turn the processor on, the c2200 just loops thru the "Tube Warm Up" process over and over.
Follow Ups:
I'm going to answer my own question for the benefit of others. The McIntosh C2200 has a home theater passthru, but it does not have a human switchable interface. It can only be activated by a DC trigger.
There is a mini-jack on the back of the unit labeled "passthru" which is where the trigger from your digital processor plugs into, and activates the passthru mode. My problem was that my AV receiver does not have an outgoing trigger to plug into the Mac. The Solution is to buy a 120v AC to 12v DC wal-wart transformer from Radio Shack, plug it into the switched 120v
outlet on the back of the AV receiver and the 12v output into the passthru input on the back of the Mac.It does work like a charm. Just be careful that you get a 1/8 mini-jack with the correct geometry - there are several, and the others don't work

I can't imagine why that configuration would work. Most of the triggers on the C2200, I believe, are outgoing. I'd suggest that you contact Mac directly. There's an email on their website. They're quite responsive.Cheers,
