Any information or comment on Fisher FM90x tube tuner.

I have one and really love it. I have both the MPX and nice wood case. What do you need?
Hi Rick,Any comment on its sound and performance (with/without MPX).
I'm looking for a MPX for it right now. Any good suggestion. What's the model of the one you have. How much does it cost? With wooden case, that's wonderful!
I have the 90r, which adds AM and substitutes an eye tube in place of the signal meter. The 90x was the first American tube product to use the 6dj8 tube. Fisher called the circuit containing the tube, the "Golden Syncrode" FM front end.
Great sensitivity and tone. With an alignment and judiscious parts upgrades, it holds up very well today. You will need an outboard MPX device to listen in stereo.
Best,
Hi Ross,Thank you for your valuable information. What's your favourite tube tuner. Other than FM90X, my collection includes Mcintosh MR65A, HK Citation IIIx, Sherwood S3000 V and Scott 350B.
I was told there's a passage on VTV #5 concerning tuners (the ultimate tuner shootout: solid-state and tube), but I do not have a copy right now. You know anything about that comparison.
VTV #5 article you refered to was a comparison between various mono, stereo, tube and SS tuners.Fisher FM-100 MONO was the winner in it's category. FM-100 is an update of the FM-90x.
I like my Fisher, I also like Sherwood tuners. Scott is just ok to me.
Best,
Ross,Thank you again. Hope to learn more from you.
