The EH 12AU7 are crap in my opinion. I am using THE JJ ECC82 in my Cary 94L and I don't really miss the mullards they replaced. I have the same opinion of the JJ ECC83/S too.

Well I agree the EH aren't very good, but my vote is for the mullard

Thank you very much BadfingerTotally agree that EH is a little too forward sounding eventhough I use the vintage VTL amp (old deluxe mono) and proac 1.5. The only good thing about EH tube may be the very tight bass in the lower end of the spectrum.
Have you heard RCA clear top with your cary?
Which mullard tube have you replace (I'm new to this NOS world...The mullard and other NOS tube seems to have too many version of the same tube type and the price remain up there on the high side.)Other,Bambi B, is kindly enough to share his experience with those NOS. Thank you. I will try to find a set that I can afford. :)
Not heard the RCA's. The JJ's are more ripe and bloom'y (if thats your thang) than the Mullard CV4003 box plates that I was using before.
