Won these on auctiona week or so ago. The auction said that they were Raytheons, but the ones I received are labeled Baldwin. From a search it seems as these might be RCA manufactured. Havent had a chance to listen yet, and wanted to see if anyone could confirm exactly what these are. Thanks
Follow Ups:
yes I got some and they are look indeed RCA manufactured .
are your one shines black plates ?
Baldwin organ used Raytheon 12AU7 black plate in the era of 1957 to 1961 & some early 1962 organs, never RCA manufacture. During 1962, the Raytheon label tubes were out sourced to Japan with grey plates. Raytheon used yellow writing as well. I never seen a RCA 12AU7 with yellow writing.
Thanks for the responses. I had a a cahnce to take a listen and my initial impression is that these tubes are very nice. Mine have the yellow lettering and gray plates...
Oh, grey plate Raytheon 12AU7 are 1956 & earlier. I assume your tubes have the square getters. These are more rare than Raytheon 12AU7 black plates. The glass is slightly 'fatter' than the 1957 & newer black plate tubes as well.
