Hello people,i want to build an push-pull amplifier with this tube.
Can anybody tell me, where i can buy 2 3CX300A1 plus Sockets, chimneys and the anode connectors? Are there sources in Germany or Europe, selling this tube?
Follow Ups:
Someone metioned ham gear.
Tubes that are quite close but with higher power ratings are the 3-400Z and the 3-500Z. Both are very popular with ham linear amplifiers.
Look for used ham linear amps that use two of these tubes. This will get you a chassis with two sockets and enough heat convection plus a quality high-voltage power supply and filament supply. In most cases you'll get some sort of metering as a bonus.
You could "clean up" the RF components to find space for the driver tube(s) of your audio amp. The only "missing link" is the output transformer. There is no perfect world... :-)
Taking this approach you'll end up with a big monoblock amp that will leave people in shock and awe while costing way less than a WAVAC...
Svetlana sells the tube and rfparts.com or fairradio.com may have other items.
Check with eham.com or qrz.com, both sites of which cater to the Amateur Radio community. You can also find folks selling used versions of these and similar tubes. Also, check arrl.net for listings of local hamfests where you'll also find local sources.Cheers,
