I know this to be a silly post but I have reviewed the archives and am not sure how to pull it togetherRCA 6SNGT

I am using the RCA 6SN7 GTAs in my Rogue 99 Pre-amp and am getting excellent results. Very clear, open sound with amazing soundstage. Vocals are natural sounding, highs are crystal clear and the bass is very well defined and sounds like individual instruments not just bass sound. In my system they work very well.
IMHO and I'm not a golden ear but...RCA 6SN7GT grey glass VT-231- someone please pass the syrup: they're *very* lush! Nice mids, sort of sloppy bass , truncated highs. A good tube for a "bright" system. Pretty good imaging, not a monstrously deep soundstage but adequate. Syl gtb if you can't say something good, say nothing at all... EH a good honest tube , nothing special, but much better than the usual sovtek drek and better than the current sino types, a perfectly good driver tube or similar non-critical duty, very resistant to microphonics. My favorite in my gear? KenRad VT-231 black glass but all the ones I have are microphonic and a bit noisy, ymmv. Hope this helps!
