Hi Peter,I am interested to find out about the Pye PF 91 A pre amps.
Were they mainly used with the Pye power amp?
Could there be used as a stand alone preamp say with a tape recorder? Thanks
I will email the friend of mine to email the circuit of the 25 to me. Please be patient, because he is a busy guy and I am sure it will take some days until I get the file. At least I know that he has got one.If I don't get it I will send you the circuit of the 91's.

HiI own the Pye PF91 and PF91A. As far as I know they are quite similar to the HF25, because a very good friend of mine in UK owns the 25's and the looked and sounded the same. I also have the manual and circuit.
In fact I just fiddle around with the right combination of the secondary windings of the output transformer to configure the Pye's for
my speakers load.(Has anybody an idea how the winding taps have to be combined for a load of 3,75 ohms? I guess, I will go for putting all 6 secondary windings in parallel. But, if somebody out there knows better, please tell me.)
If you are not in DIY you should get rid of the amps (I may buy them ... :-) ).
But if you get them right - Up to now I did not hear an amp sounding more magical.
I could scan the manual, if you do not get an original one for the 25. I could also try to get the circuit from my friend who owns a pair.
