I have 4.7K 250mpp polypropylene coupling caps in my phono amp. Is that a 250v cap? I want to replace them with something better.
Follow Ups:
Dude,It seems your caps. are 4.7 nF.(4700 pF.)/250 WVDC. MPP parts are reasonably compact. Do you have the additional room film and foil parts are going to occupy?
BTW, 4.7 nF. seems on the small side for coupling parts. Please check the schematic for the EXACT value of the part.

Hi EliIs the 4.7K marking on the poly donating 4.7nF? I would have thought it is 4.7uF?
Yep, putting in a film and foil will be challenge space wise.
Paul,"K" stands for thousand. In the case of caps., it's thousands of pF. 4,700 pF. = 4.7 nF. = 0.0047 muF.
A 4.7 muF. MPP cap. is physically large. For example, a SCR made 4.7 muF./250 WVDC MPP part is 0.75 inches in diameter and 1.1 inches long.
