Welborne drd 300b's are great... if you dont mind waiting for 4-6months for shipping, having emails ignored, etc etc. I have been a customer for years and decided to by a second set of amps. I was billed dec12/06 and am still waiting on tubes, transformers and a couple misc parts. Over a month ago I was told "any day now". I have given up on them and have ordered the missing parts myself from electra-print and diy hifi supply. Both those companys were very helpfull and answered there phones and responded to emails, as well as gave me a respectable time on shipping. This is a shortened version of a long winded story but the jist of it is what counts. I am not the only one having this problem with Welborne Labs, I am sharing this so that people can be aware of what to expect.
I have the welborne labs DRD kit and I've very pleased.

like things are sent asap and could take months. not sure if this is still a problem. :)
My experience at the end of last year and beginning of this year is that communication is excellent prior to purchase and poor after the credit card is run. You will be charged immediately on the credit card but the product still won't be there after weeks and e-mails will be ignored asking for a status (even though you provide the order #) and the telephone isn't answered. Do a search in the SET forum and you'll find a recurrent theme.
Just ask Ron what his backlog looks like when you place your order. Ron Welborne is about as honest of a person as you are likely to find anywhere.
