do you have enough gain with the 6J5 on your KT66 Se?
what is the two SS rectifer before the GZ34 do ?
Follow Ups:
lovetubeYes I have plenty of gain.
The two rectifiers make a bridge rectifier circuit.
It's called a hybrid bridge, quote from Eli Duttman -
"Hybrid bridge rectifiers are slick.
You don't have to deal with 2X the voltage drop and
the vacuum diode pair block SS diode switching noise
from getting into the B+ rail."
The positive part of the AC goes through the GZ34s
while the negative part goes through the UF4007s.
That is great to hear as I love those 6J5 and will made simular amp soon.
Cheers

: hey DanL. I will still can't understand how the load line work , and how is good and how is bad . thanks for your help with my EL34PP load line.
lovetubeThere are probably as many loadlines
preferences as people making them.
I always try to balance between 0 grid voltage
and the non-linear part of the tube curves.
Start at the operating point, from the O grid voltage point
to double bias voltage point, try to get the range linear.
This will balance when going in to A2 with the non-linear
section of the conduction (over 2X the bias point).
A2 is when the bias goes positive which increases distortion
unless you have a high current low impedance drive tube.
You can get more power out of the tube going another route
but I like having as low a distortion as I can get
for as much as I can get.
My Philisophy Anyway.BTW I am only driving speakers above 200Hz.
If you want use them full range then
increase the cathode bypass capacitor.
