OK,I have a choice to make. Use Solen 100uf/630V Fast Cap or a pair of ASC 50uf/440VAC caps in my power supply. These will be placed after the second choke. I have a Solen 22uf/630 Fast Cap for the spot between the the two chokes.
Will the ASC sound a little fuller/romantic vs the Solen? The Solen is a little more expensive than a pair of ASC caps, but takes up 1/2 the space. The Unilytic caps are also a possibility here too.

As you know Im an the biggest pio fan on this forum no doubt but the motorruns are poly in oil and they are good caps but I only use solens and those for filtering..Now the ASC may be different than the CSC which look just like them but I seem to have more detail with the solens and they fit in an existing filter cap hole very easily where the oil caps dont. Now you can bypass the solens with a 1uf pio like a pair of .47s in parallel and that should reduce any edginess if there is any.I havent heard any edginess in my amps from them but others may have..I would go with the solens for the sake of simplicity but if your building an amp,you can save money with the motorruns in oil.Take a look at the photo..These are both 100uf..One is a solen and one is a csc which is much like the asc.
Thanks Michael and Jeff. I appreciate your input.
...like 'all' metallized 'propylenes*, more or less, while MRs are a little soft in the high frequencies**. Therefore I use them in parallel. So if you need 100uF, use about 50uF of each in the 2nd pole.
* except those bathed in oil
** but not at all 'slow', whatever that means
