You could see what was happening at 1/2 power. I don't like the idea of "standby" where only heaters are powered, but 1/2 powering everything might work.Hopefully no SS devices in it? ;-)

Follow Ups:
What about putting a switch on the filiaments and just turning them on / off.
I know that this will cause some cathode stripping with the B+ full on but it should be better than leaving the tubes on 24/7.
There is a SS regulator for the filiaments- funny the only SS device in it and I am considering swithching that off to save tubes.
The caps are all polypro- GE oilers and Solens for the HT. Electros are in the filiament supply but I hardly think that the electros are what causes the warm up delay. My ARC Sp-11 has a shorter warm up but then it doesn't sound anywhere near as good.
As you have a separate PS, can you disconnect the PS and isolated it to PS warm-up vs. circuit warm-up?

Yeah!
That is a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? It should tell me where the issue is or at least narrow it down. I think I also might try and remove the 330k bleeder resistors from the caps and put them on a small switch that I can throw to bleed them when I want to poke around.
Might have gotten up to 50.May come down your way in a week or so. Need to get some time on my bike and it ain't gonna happen up here.
Still have 6-8 inches of snow in my yard. :-(
