I could get a TC 766-2 in mint condition. Any opinion on this machine? How would it compare to a B77?
Follow Ups:
If its in good condition it would probably sound very good. It looks cool. Personally I'd rather have a B77, but it may be kind of a Lexus vs. Mercedes kind of discussion. Parts are still available for Revox, don't know for that Sony.
Check to see if it has auto reverse and auto head elevating. These head shifting mechanisms gave headaches. Personally I'd prefer the Revox product but Sony made some good stuff.

The Sony is a mastering machine, half track so no reverse and speed is limited to 7.5 and 15 ips.I love the look of the B77 and seems that parts are easier to find should something happen. However, the B77 looks a bit beaten and is 3 times the cost of the Sony, which in turn is absolutely flawless (near mint), The Revox came from a studio and the Sony from an ex-musician who hardly used the machine.
So, from an economic standpoint, I'd go for the Sony at around $250 including remote and a case of 456 tape on 10.5 in aluminum reels, and hope I can use the machine while searching for a donor body just in case...
