I have my CR-7 broken, the reel motor has one position where it looses its torque. It is a bad contact or bad spot?It plays for two or three seconds and it stops. And no, it's not the idler wheel. It rewinds and forwards flawlessly. And plays also, when there is no tape. When the motor stops, it remain stopped until a small knock (like door closes) happens. This seems to re-engage the motor.
I've seen this item on ebay : 160073614608And it seems that the reel motor I would like to replace is the same that many other nakamichi decks have.
so, could I just use one, new or old, from other dekc??
These decks are: BX: All models, MR1, CR5, RX202
Follow Ups:
How about providing the pn for the reel motor I just took my BX-150 and CR-3A a part. The numbers for the motors start with VA or BF.
BX-300 Service manual (The only I have from these naks) says reel motor part number isCA80205A
Announced on eBay I see the part number of the motor is:
BFS7B12
And the stick on my NAk cr-7 motor has:
BFS7B02
Okay, I took the top off of my CR-7A and the numbers that I got are as follows:I believe that this is the "Takeup Reel Motor #" (has a small brown cap on it)VA700B04 807013-B
Large motor BHS7B02 80516-A
