I have recently picked up a Teac 4010s in reasonably good condition, except the pinch roller sticks. I want to get under the faceplate, but in order to do that, i need to remove the pinch roller. Do i just pull it off? I dont want to break it. also, any other advice on servicing this machine would be much appreciated.

So, after shelling out 12 bucks for the tweak your teac manual from daeinconline.com, i discovered you just pull it off. wasnt a loss, though, cause it has several good pictures and directions for maintenance. It turns out my drive belt is no good, and i am ordering a new one from the same place i got the manual. anyways, good luck to J.S. with your 7010, they have belts, but no manual.
The trim ring at the capstan simply unscrews and then after you remove all the screws, can the stainless faceplate be removed. Hope this helps!

Later Gator,
Crank up your talking machine, grab a jar of your favorite "kick-back", sit down, relax, and let the good times roll. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
