Gonna spool a few 2 track safety masters later this afternoon. :)
Some old master dubs:E Power Biggs: Mendelssohn Organ Sonata
Vivaldi: 2 Violin Conterto - Stern/Oistrakh/Ormandy
Sonny Rollins: Without a Song
Where'd you get your master dubs! I've tried getting some on Ebay but every time I've been stomped into the dust. I just can't see bidding big bucks on something that I don't know what they really are. If I found a reliable source I'd be more willing to go for it.
Oh, and for the tread subject;
Mozart sonatas for piano/violin Ingrid Haebler/Henryk Szeryng/phillips
Britten Young Person Guide,.. LSO Britten/London
Virtuoso Clarinet Jack Brymer BC/vanguard
there's so many supposed "master dubs" and "safety" copies its laughable - case in point, received one such supposed "master dub" of Swan Lake "guaranteed only 3rd gen, bla bla" turns out the commercial 4 track pissed all over it and by a galaxy at least.
Bonnie Raitt: Luck of the Draw on regular cassette.Reel to Reel still in the shop. Tech promised Thursday or Friday of this week, now he says sometime next week. He has had it over 2 months and this is the third promised he broke. His excuse is he has had a lot of service calls. He repairs big screen TVs and Vintage equipment. I would guess he makes most of his money on those Big Screen service calls and I keep getting pushed back.
He at least has torn it apart and it was a broken belt, he thinks he has one in stock he hasn't even checked that yet. He said he will replace the belt and make sure everything is up to spec. I loaned him the service manual for it. I really miss it!
