Anyone know where you can get a decent price on blanks
(90 minute, high bias?)Where I live (northeast U.S.) Staples + Office Depot have them
for almost 2 bucks a pop.
Follow Ups:
No such animals in any of our WalMart's in a LONG LONG LONG time. Plenty of Sony Type I in the WalMarts and K-Mart's but that is it.Walgreens here has a limited supply of XLII's (non S) but they are on drastic sale and Low Bias TDK will take their place on the shelves.
I am going to buy a generous supply online while I can of the 90 min XL II S's...!!!
Long live the Audio Cassette is RIGHT! I bought a bunch of Fuji High-Bias and it's good stuff. Getting towards the end of it, was thinking of buying Maxell XL II S from the source below. 50+ at a whack and it seems like a deal to me:
Bill,It's been a while, but the last time I checked Wal-Mart, the XLII 90 cassettes were a little over a dollar per unit sold in 5 packs. In my anxiety that decent quality blank cassettes will eventually be unavailable, I purchased 200 of them.
If you are not opposed to buying a fairly large quantity on the web, you could probably do better.
Of course, ebay is an option and other grades (and brands) are offered. I picked up a bunch of XLII-S cassettes some time ago.
Long live the analog cassette!
