I'm wondering what interconnects other Nakamichi owners have preferred to use to get the best, most neutral sound. Are you using the same type for both inputs and outputs?
Follow Ups:
Sorry Ripple,I forgot to mention, I have a Nak 480Z, 682ZX and Cassette Deck One. And many other decks too. The lean, stripped bare sound of the 480 need a bass-generous cable for instance - I would suggest somehting from Monster or Cable Talk. One needs to experiment and listen to it in your system (How many times have you heard that!!)
Hello Ripple,I don't know what is ideal but I have a pair two sets of van den Hul "Storm" and a pair of van den Hul d-102 MkIIs - they definitiely will breathe better through good cables.
The sort of brands that happen to punted locally depends where you are - Audioquest, Deltec, VDH, Cabletalk - they are all pretty good with notable although subtle differences from one to another.
Good luck.
Have used Nordost Blue Heaven and XLO with good results if you prefer a lean and neutral presentation.
