It's a feature that is currently turned off. Some time ago, we considered implementing a self moderation system that would have used user ratings from a rotating pool of inmate moderators. As a part of this, you could have selected views of the Asylum based on flame level. Posts would have disappeared from the normal views, but remained accessible in optional views based on a rating level. Another even better use for the rating would have been to provide feedback for search results to improve the search engine. In any case, the application uses a graphic link. If rating is turned off for the forum, then you get an invisible 1x1 pixel white image. Basically, you don't see anything unless the graphic isn't displayed which happens on rare occasions. Otherwise, when ratings are turned on, you'll see a link to rate the post. You can look at the Test Asylum to see how it works:

I don't see the graphic links anywhere in the test asylum.
Browser is Mozilla 1.0.1
Ah, let me look at the code.Ok, you needed mod points to see it and you need a 'Remember Me' cookie so that it recognizes you. Try it now.
Works now, thanks.
