I cannot get it to mark read posts, like previous versions used to. Works on all the other sites I've tried so far, just not here. Does mark the forum links, just not the posts. TIA[The cookie problem was temporary, was happening before changing to NS7. Somehow my cookies got erased...OK now]

Sorry, but that's just weird. This is messages? On another note, here's a different problem. It sound like 7.0 has lots of quirks.

Then open Preferences and scroll down to Privacy & Security. Open P & S and then open password. The rest is self explanatory.
The links in the "Classic" HTML are specified as relative (NS7 likes this), whereas the "Threads" links are base (NS7 doesn't like this[?]). That's the only obvious difference to me.
I added a base reference to the header so that the links to messages would be identical to the Classsic view. does that workaround the problem? If so, then I'll update the production version after I rework the header routine to be sure that other apps don't get broken.
Does the trick. I hope you don't do this just for me. For those of us who use dial-up, the Threads views load much faster than the longer Classic pages. Trickier to use AA when you can't tell what you've already read. Must be a NS7 quirk or bug, I have no idea if this is a very new release, it was what was offered at the Netscape site. Thanks.
Great, it's a simple fix. I just updated the production version.
Hi Rod, It seemed to be there for a day or so, and now is gone.
but a different problem. I've reverted to "Classic" now and that's fine. Somehow the way the links in "Threads" are identified (?) is not recognised by NS7, at least for marking as visited links.I went from NS4 to NS7. I have to say that many many problems loading some sites are fixed now (they were MS-friendly sites). And many sites load much faster. Haven't found any other quirks yet. So it wasn't a total loss at all.
Doen't happen in Classic, which I don't use. Sorry, forgot to check that.
