I'm back again. I now have the Nad C 340 I've talked about so much, and it is a very nice, very revealing amp. I'd like to upgrade my speakers in the future, and I narrowed down my choices to NHT and B&W. Anyhoo, I wanted to see what you guys would think of either an NHT Super One pair or a pair of B&W DM 303s?Which do you think would be a better fit between the two competitors??
Follow Ups:
I had a pair of the B&Ws for surround speakers.Didn't like them.Replaced them with the SuperOnes.WAY better! YMMV,so be sure to listen to them and decide for yourself.
The SuperOnes, being a sealed box design, in my opinion has nicer/tighter sounding bass. These are solidly built speakers. Another pair that'll be good match is the PSB Alpha A/V.
You've narrowed it down to two speakers. Bring your amp to the dealer or bring the speakers home and listen. I like the B&Ws better, but it's preference...just as there are people that like the NHTs better.
I've never heard the B&Ws but my old C340 was a great match with the NHT Superones. In fact, it was with those units that I embarked on my long journey to audio nirvana. They gave me a real taste of what audio components can do.
if you are in northern california and would be interested in a mint pair of nht 2.5i's e-mail me privately.
