interesting reading on the 7's. You could always ask Pete to do the dirty work, if he's up for it.

Thanks for your response. I'm not sure if I'm that industrious to be putzin' around with the 7's though, since they already sound pretty good. I'll probably just be using them at work in my cubicle, hooked up to an old Kenwood receiver, but I really do appreciate your suggestion!

put in my Godson's stereo. I removed the grills and glued felt rings around the tweeters (much sweeter this way). Don't think that this is in that thread, but it's a standard tweeter tweak when they are recessed, too hot, or have non flush mounted bolts securing the drivers which can cause nasty artifacts. This took me 15 minutes to do and the felt cost 79 cents @ a fabric store that sells square foot samples. In his small bedroom they sound pretty good, plus the bass is limited enough to keep his mother sane.As far as the Royal's go, keep searching Ebay and you may pick up some history on them. Good luck.
Hey thanks! That's pretty easy, I think even I could do that one. Matter of fact, I'll take the grills off tomorrow and make a visit to the fabric store. Good suggestion, and again, thanks.
