Al,My experience has shown that the best drivers for a TL or TQWT have a Qts between 0.3 and 0.5. I have not had a lot of success with drivers that have a Qts approaching 1.0.

Thanks, Martin and Rob. Do you know of any 16ohm woofers (not mid-woof) available for T-line use? Al

Lambda Acoustics offers several drivers which would meet Martin's specifications for a good transmission line unit. The new dipole drivers (I have eight 15" dipoles on order) are designed specifically for that implementation.Whichever way you choose to go if you want these extraordinary units -- flat to 2kHz, usable output to nearly 4kHz, and described as "having muscles on their muscles") -- then order soon. After January 31st, 2002, Lambda will stop selling to the DIY market.
