Hi,I'm doing room-speaker simulation on CARA 2.1plus
However, I have to create the speaker model for B&W Matrix 802 III in as they are not listed. Unfortunately the manul of my 802 doesn't help much except some basic specs.
Can anyone provide me the crossover point (frequency), impedance curve, frequency response curve, and any other related info so I can build a speaker model more accurately resemble the real ones? I assume that even similar infor for 802 series 2 or 801 help somehow.
TIA!
Follow Ups:
I suggest that you try to locate the reviews of these speakers in Stereophile, HFN&RR and/or Audio Magazine. Their technical tests should have that info.
Hi Kal,I have collection of Stereophile from August 1989 to date. However, for what I can gather the only Matrix 801/802/803 review with (I suppose) measurement was the M801 one in September 1987.
About HFN&RR and Audio Magazine, do you know if there is an easy way (besides going to a library that archive them) to find out what issue had the review?
By the way I'm very impressed with CARA 2.1plus. It easily identify that my room has too little absorption in mid/high (verified by hand clapping) and partially answered my question why the bass is weak in my room. But tonight I just add a couple of "open windows" to the back of my listening/living room to represent open pathways to family room, kitchen, and 2nd floor. And boy oh boy now there is too much bass absorption. The "ambiance" curve of my room is now a terrible up-side-down bathtub. But of course the frequency response with actually speakers and listener placements are not that bad
I plan to experiment with speaker placements and adding/removing furnitures. But I have the feeling it will be tough as it's difficult to do anything on the big and tall (16') wall on one side.
I hope there can be some sort of forum on CARA related issues. We audiophiles can benefits from what it reveals greatly.
Cheers.

The issue of Audio magazine that had a very extensive review (by D. B. Keele)of the B&W 801 II was in November 1990 issue. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the lead, Wilbr.I'll head to my local library over the weekend and check that issue of Audio magazine out.
You also reminded me of my severl Audio annual equipment list. Actually I did find some more info such as x'over frequencies in my '93 issue. But still it will be nice to have the actually frequency response and impedance curves available.
