I am looking to downsize from my currect Spectral/MIT Gear and I don't think Spectral/MIT is a great match for those speakers. The integrated or amp/pre-amp need not be the sonic equivilent to Spectral, but just a great match for the Signums. I would like electronics in the $2500-$3000 range.I am cautious about considering tube gear, but won't rule it out. The amp needs to drive LONG speaker cables comfortably. My electronics are on the opposite end of my room to my speakers and CAN't be relocated. My usual dealer suggested the SF Musica with Tara Labs Cable and also Naim.
I have not ruled out tube equipment, but I am afraid that I would forget to turn off the tube gear fairly frequently and changing tubes may be a problem for me as I have a physical coordination problem. I am also not entirely happy with considering CJ because of Factors other than sonic quality of CJ gear which I don't with to go into here. Again, I repeat, I have not ruled out tube gear. Any thoughts and suggestions.

You should really check into Audio by Van Alstine. It is what I used on my Signums. You can also try this Gear in your own home for 30 days and get your money back if you wish. Hybrid Tube. Plenty of Power. Great Tube Sound. If you get this - Let me know what you think.Best,

I use the Sinums with a YBA Integra DT. This is a very good match and the YBA can be found used for about $1300. Down side to the YBA and Signums, the YBA has enough power but just, none to spare in a medium to small room (much more power then the Sim Audio I-5 however, see post) and the YBA does not have the mico dynamic quilites which i think this speaker excells at.Try one out a dealer and decied for your self.
I was pretty pleased with the Sim Audio I-5 which I owned and used with the EA II and the the Grand Pianos. Smooth, but in an engineered sorta way. Please post your results of you serach I planning a new system around the signums and would like to hear your input...jb
I second the vote for the Moon I-5. Great all round performer for the money. 10 year warranty, holds the resale value, looks great, sounds very good and is built like a tank. If you can find a used one, check it out.AudioPhool
If you're on a budget as I am, the Moon I-5080 is a very good product....in fact, it is a cheaper version of the Moon I-5 recommended earlier.
