Any opinions on the best integrated amp for the JM Reynaud Twins?
Follow Ups:
the distrib of reynaud recommends his Audion line of tube amps. I have one and use it with Reynaud Cantabile speakers and couldn't be happier.
I just switched from a solid state amp to the VAC RenIII 30/30 for driving the Trente. I'm very happy with the sound. There are lots of used 30/30's available now, as apparently VAC is coming out with a new model.
I auditioned the Twins and Trentes extensively with a Rogue Integrated, and was impressed. :)
If you decide to go solid state, look into Audio Refinement Complete intergrated amp.I have it set up with the twins. The A.R. Complete comes very close to the tube sound and is reasonably priced.
Word on the street is Audiomat Arpege. I heard it driving Triangle Ventes and they both sounded very fine. You have to wait in line a while though. Word on the street is spreading.
I am using ASL AQ-10001 DT a 50 watt intergrated with the Evolution 3 with wonderful results. I had the Evo 3 conneted to a solid state amp the cost thousand more for over a year. I get more emotional envolvment from the ASL. The ASL is very quite and very well built. I am very happy with this amp. Sam
Thanks everybody for all your suggestions. I going to go with the Audiomat Arpege. I've heard nothing but good things about it, and it is supposed to be a good match with the Twins.
Again, thanks
