I WANT MORE BASS! Ok, now that I've got that out of my system, I'll ask my question. I'm interested in trying out different speakers in my system. I have a Sim Audio I-5 integrated amp that is rated at 70W @ 8 Ohms and currently have them hooked up to a pair of Avance Epsilon 910 speakers (pretty rare in the US at least, find them at http://www.avance-international.com/) which are rated at 86db and 4 Ohm and stated to go down to 54Hz. I'm looking for a "bigger" sound compared to what I have now. I'm missing the bass foundation that I have heard when listening to other speakers (in past two days have listened to Sonus Faber Concertos, Grand Pianos, and Maggie 1.6's...but not in my system). Also, I stated other than Totem because I know Totem speakers work well with Sim products, but unsure of other brands.I've entertained the idea of getting a sub, but because I listen to music exclusively, I would need a fast and accurate sub (usually not cheap). I do however like the midrange of the Epsilon's, but I know there are speakers that are more extended in the highs. I am on a tight budget, but hope to have a few hundred dollars to work with by December. I would definitely need to stay in the <$1000 range. I'm just wondering if anyone can lead me in the right direction of a pair of speakers that would mate well with my Sim amp and that have more bass authority (still needs to be accurate) and fits in the above price range. If you think I should just keep what I have now, could you recommend a good sub that I can seamlessly blend into my system? ACI's Titan sub looks great (never heard it), but it is more than I can afford and are not often on the used market. Maybe one of ACI's lower-end subs? Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Follow Ups:
I have a pair of Monitor Audio Studio 6 speakers, and I would not trade them for anything. The bass extension is excellent, and its IMO a great match for the SimAudio I-5.
I have Sim Celeste amps with a Rotel 971 cd player and Cardas Twinlinks with Kimber ic's and it all sounds just fine with my Studio 80's from Paradigm. The speakers do require a really long break in period, but during and after break in the speakers are amazing. I've never tried a dac with my cd player so I can't comment on that. You might want to try the Studio 60's in your room for bass, but be sure to adjust the speakers to tighten the bass, or they may sound boomy. I've tilted the speakers back using the spikes and raised them a touch by placing them on pucks, bringing the tweeter to appoximately the height of the Studio 100's, thus bringing out the effects of the midrange driver, and it works for me. I've listened to the Studio 20's and less expensive Paradigms but I wasn't impressed. I've also heard Moon amps with Dynaudio, as another poster mentioned and it's awesome, but these were very high priced speakers. Triangle speakers might also work but I've never heard them in my system.
I've heard Dynaudio speakers with Sim Audio equipment and was very impressed.
Guess what Steve, I have a Sim I-5 and my problem is I have a bit too much bass in my system. My speakers are JM Lab Cobalt 815 and they were just average on bass, compared to some other floorstanders. Then I threw in a MSB Link D/A and now the bass is a bit too much in my opinion.
Now you have me thinking that maybe I should be looking at my source (Rotel 971) as well! I guess adding a dac wouldn't be all that expensive...it's worth a try. But I still would like to see if anyone has any suggestions for speakers or a sub. If people agree that I should leave that part of the chain alone and look elsewhere in the system, then I'll head over to the digital board and ask about a suitable dac. I just didn't want to mess with the cd player considering the future of digital is kind of unclear. Money on speakers is *usually* money well spent despite any changes in source material. Thanks for your comment.
