I have a True Subwoof Mk II, about a year old. Bought used. Has a nasty transformer hum audible with or without signal (just plug it in and away it goes).- What causes Transformer hum?
- What can be done about it?
- Do all Sunfire True Subs hum?
Thanks in advance, please don't tell me it's cuz it "doesn't know the words" . . .
Follow Ups:
There was no hum with the True Sub Signature. Not sure what is causing yours or the cure, but calling the factory would be a suggestion.
Have you tried reverse mains plug polarity, also run it from pre-out, not tape-out, use y plugs.

Yeah, I've tried all that, the hum is from the subwoof whether or not there is an input. Regardless of polarity at the ac line, with or without a cheater plug.
