anybody heard em both??
Follow Ups:
I owned the Studio 6 a couple years ago and found them to sound very good---with the right amp though. They tend to gravitate toward tubes. The Proac 2000 also sounded quite good and performed with both tube and solid state. If you have a s-s amp, I'd opt for the Proac.Good Luck!
could u elaborate?
how does the sound compare and how does it differ?
i have owned 1 but never heard the other.
no dealers around :(
The Monitor are very transparent and with their metal dome tweeter, you will hear the graininess found in most all solid state amps. In other words, they are finicky about the amps you pair them with, but can sound stunningly good with the right amp.The Proacs with the soft dome tweeters are a tad more forgiving and although they sound better with tubes IMO, they will sound OK with a good solid state amp. Hope this helps.
