I have a collection of vintage stereo items; came across two diferent KLH speakers of which I know nothing about.. First, I have a KLH One computer controlled speakers; they worn, but are complete and I'm surprised at the sound quality that they have..(They almost sound as good as the IMF TLS 50 II that I use, unlike the junk that KLH produces today!) even have the "computer control box," which I gather is a equalizer set up along the lines of the Bose 901's I used to have...
Secondly, I have a set of KLH 5's, but are missing the woofers for it. I understand that the KLH 5 uses the same woofer as the KLH 23, KLH 28's..is that correct?
Follow Ups:
Hi, I have about 5 KLH 5's in my garage right now. Let me know what you need, I'll give you a good price on parts.
Dear Sweedish Eagle:
Need two woofers for my KLH 5's. How do I reach you? Thanks, Dennis
Fairly small bookshelf speakers with an electronic "Equalizer" box? I seem to remember those. I think there were two or three models, One was a two way and there was another that was similar except larger with dual woofers. As I recall they got good reviews and the electronic box allowed them to produce bass like a much larger speaker. I believe they were pretty pricey too.
What size woofer goes in the KLH 5? Was it a 10"? I have a bunch of KLH 10" woofers kicking around, but I forgot where they came from.
The kind of stuff marketed under the KLH name today (or even in the last 20 years) is not even in the same universe as the KLH of the Kloss era...
