  Lots of speakers are rated 90db sensitive and are relatively small -- what you mean by a small footprint and what others mean however may be entirely different. I like my stand mounts because they operate in corners - thus it leaves less of a footprint than any and all speakers that are "free-standing" in terms of how much of the usable room they take up.

  And sensitivity is not the most important aspect of how easy a speaker is to drive - efficiency is.

  Mine are kind of smaller footprint, although deep, and are 91-92 db. I know my speaker line is unpopular on AA, but some of their stuff meets what you want.
