Seems to suggest a rapid bass rolloff starting at around 70Hz and 7-9dB down by 30Hz.

Perhaps it's responsible for some of that detail reviewers rave about.
None of the Wilson Watt/Puppies have ever measured well. The listening experience does not seem to correlate with the measured data on these speakers.Perhaps there is something going on that is not being reflected in the data.
But yes, I also find that the WP8 is a wonderful sounding speaker.
Have you heard this speaker? Damn it's good.
No, I'd love to hear them and I'm sure they're very good. I'm also aware measurements don't tell the whole story. However, I do trust the NRC's measurements and find these disappointing. The Sophias have an almost identical peak and have to wonder if it's by design.
That might be designed in. Both of these speakers are very well reviewed. I've heard them both extensively and I own Watt Puppy 6's. I have to say I am amazed at the difference between the 6 and 8.
