Can anyone offer any opinions or comparisons between these two speakers? I'm only concerned with the quality of sound. I'm aware of the big price differential between the two but I'd like to hear opinions without cost being a variable.
Follow Ups:
I had a good nice 45 min listen to the Sonus Faber (at a hifi show), crazy 3d holographic images all over the place, wild...
The C1 i have listened to at a friends place, maybe 4-5 times, this speaker is capable/strong and will deliver it in the most fascinating way, from the ultra minute to the grand and large, and yes they can pump out Public Enemy loud!
While the build is outlandish on the SF the DYN plays it cool, real cool...
Its all a matter of what YOU really want from these two high end speakers.A small digression, but just for example, i have had the entry level speakers from both companys DYN 42 & SF Concertino, the DYN did better in everything except for throwing those really deep images.
Even in the entry level segment it is plain to see that the concept and philosophy of these two companys is a million miles apart.v.i. (outta Croatia!)
I have owned a pair of C1s for about 3 years, I have replaced everything else in my system but those. Currently, both my amplification and source individually retails more than double the C1s, and yet I do not think I have reached C1s' full potential.Never owned any Sonus Faber, from what I read and some brief auditions, I think Sonus Faber would be more romantic sounding, while C1s maybe more true to the source. Just a guess though.
Are all these reviews on the net (www.audioreview. com and others) not enough to make the picture of the quality of those two speakers?
