Regarded to have value well beyond their price, I know. But this??? Sometimes you just have to laugh.

Follow Ups:
Just noticed that seller gives retail price as $2595. They haven't been at that price in a l-o-n-g time. So buyers should definitely get a serial number to find out how old these really are. As you know JMR does changes now and again and doesn't always publicize them...
Those are trentes, not twins. Fair price.

Makes you wonder why he bought them if he didn't know their name. Where did he get 'em?? I'd sniff around that one carefully, see if you can learn their provenence (sp).
BTW, what is the going price for a pair of good used Trentes? As an ANJ owner and after looking through your website I'm intrigued with the JMR's.
"Seller states he got them as a gift . . ."
...and in good shape, I would personally consider them worth around $2000. If JMR were still making them, I'd be selling new ones for around $3200-3300, given inflation and the #$%#$%^ dollar/Euro situation. I can understand wanting to have both AN's and JMR's around.
. . so value is similar to most other used speakers. Not that I expect to run across any used JMRs, but one never knows.
no association with the seller, etc. Just passing on the info...
