I'm curious as to what electronics the PC9.1's were hooked up to? I currently own the PC1.1ii and find them to be quite finniky about the electronics upstream. Here are some reasons as to why I think Phase Tech does not receive a lot of air play on this and other audio boards.
1. Their dealers are mostly home theatre installation oriented.
2. They're not in big audio retail chains.
3. They advertise very little.
4. Their speakers aren't eye catchers. They are more concerned with cabinet, crossover, and driver quality instead of asthetics.I've heard from a few dealers that PT will be upgrading the PC line later this year. As it looks now the upgrades will be more cosmetic in nature.
Be careful about the dealer you listed. Phase Tech is stringent on not allowing their speakers to be sold mail order and they may not recognized their ten year warranty on products purchased online.

I replied rather late on your other post about looking for speakers in the $500 range. Try the Monitor Audio BR5 floorstanders if Sound Exchange has them.
No I didn't buy new speakers yet. I didn't know that Monitor updated the Bronze line? The BR5 looks pretty nice. Do you know if the dopes at Electronics-Expo still carry Monitor? My whole systems needs to be upgraded. I may stick with the speakers for awhile. I'll probably upgrade the amp and phono preamp first, see how my speakers sound then and go from there.
Are the JM's a major upgrade over the Missions?
The JM Labs speakers that I acquired are not broken in so it is hard to judge with my equipment. When I demoed the pair they had at the Sound Exchange versus the Mission, I thought it was enough to go for them for the cost including the trade. They are more efficient and that's important since I'm in an apartment and cannot really listen at high volume. A big sound and nice tight bass.I listened to the BR5s yesterday at the store but the parade for St. Patrick'd Day was going on. They only had about 10 hours on them. Not too shabby for the price! I didn't see the JM Labs there to compare and the stands they were mounted on are for sale. Maybe somebody bought the demos.
Sorry... That message number is not valid.
