Rumor has it that Mr. Cheney has measurement equipment though I've never seen any proof of it.I would think that this revolutionary technology might produce some measurable results.
Follow Ups:
I have and use sysid and Clio. I use a 1" calibrated B&K mic for LF measurements and the 1/4" mic with Clio for the balance. I usually make ultra-nearfield measurements without a baffle in a semi-anechoic environment but have measured over 200 units of the Spica TC 60 when we were manufacturing them about a decade ago at 50cm and 1m on axis. I still have the curves and many are remarkably smooth.Measurements of various speakers in our line have appeared on our Forum from time to time. ekovalsky can attest to have received several measurements from me on his RM/X.
All kidding--or animosity--aside, Constant Directivity is a boon all speakers should have. I'm thinking about making my wave guide available--suitably reconfigured--to fit just about any speaker on the market, and at low cost! Interested??
This is the greatest invention ever? C'mon!!!!!
Moo Moo!
I predict this "improvement" will make a difference in the sound of VMPS speakers. Blocking half the driver surface of the mids/highs is the big improvement? Maybe they've discovered that as the vertical slot's opening on the wave guide approaches nil, they get more imaging. ;)
Sorry I posted this in the thread below without realizing that you were going to continue to hammer a human being in a different thread.. For kicks, why don't you try encouraging new technology. You never know there may be some positive changes that you may not be accustomed to. Perhaps, it just may beyond your grasp to think there might be a better way to wipe your asses.
There is nothing wrong with Audiogon.com. It's just weeding out DeadBeets like ex Audiogon members Michaelhwolff.Michael Wolff ripped a number of people on Audiogon. Now that is the real reason why Michael H. Wolff is banned for life on Audiogon.
