Found these great, big, pretty walnut speakers: Applied physics Lab of Knoxville. Any help?
Follow Ups:
A man named James Carroll , who did the design work for Fusilier and others started it.
Now, I want you to call Speaker Art in Bakersfield California, ask for Bob Gross, their number is 805 322 5329 , but the area code has changed, I dont know the area code.
Tell him what you have, and he will probably know all about them.
He and James Carroll are old friends.
How's that for trivia ?
Chris
this may be a shot in the dark, but they may be related to Bolivar speakers, made in TN in the 70s and early 80s. Folded or bought out long ago I guess.
Bolivar was a JBL lookalike product that, I think, originated near Memphis (Bolivar, TN), and maybe later purchased by JBL(???).APL's were totally different, but maybe the people here might know something:
I'm the OP: Yes, I've seen and heard some Bolivars, and not bad:
more info on these:
the printing on the back looks like genesis/epi and the tweeters look
like early AR/Advents: massive, grilled domes. They're a little larger than large advents, and better wood: much. Any other info out there?
