I recently obtained a pair of these on ebay. I quite like the way they sound with my exposure XXV.I have been curious about trying them out with a set amp. Does anyone knows what their efficiency is? I want to say something like 93 db, but I am not sure. I can't seem to find that info anywhere!

That's from the spec sheet I got with my pair. They are GREAT speakers, by the way. Over the years I've tried out many, many other speakers including B&W, Bozak and JBL and I always come back to the 810s!

It's an old spec trick, like "music power". It's how many db at what wattage at what distance that counts. So be careful kids, especially when shopping for car speakers or subs, especially if you are looking at a 2ohm driver.
Hmmm, does that spec sheet say 94db@2.83v? If that's the case then a low watt set amp maybe would not be a good choice? Does anyone have any opinions on this? I am kind of a newbie with this. Thx :)
Those were based on Peerless drivers as I recall, probably around 88-89db. Measure the DC impedence of the speakers, if its below 5 ohms, make sure the amp has a decent ability to push current. And you need 8wpc minimum. Most are 3wpc or less and will only be suitable for background levels. High powered SET is real pricey, my as well go PP triode or transformerless or AudioRearch VS50. PS I would luv to find a pair of 910's.
