i see that some people who charge a 3% fee for buyers to pay using paypal, request that the buyer fund from a paypal balance or bank account so the transaction nets the seller 3% more, since the seller pays no fee's this way.very lame practice for some audiogoners to stoop to.

but the buyer must use the bank account /not credit card to purchase.
because thier paypal account does not accept.
why should anyone be double taxed on a purchase anyways.which is all a fee is.

PayPal charges a 3% fee, no matter how payment is made. If buyer uses a credit card, then PayPal pays a fee to the credit card issuer. If buyer transfers from his PayPal account, or pays be e-check, then PayPal keeps all the fee.Put another way, PayPal is NOT charging the seller a fee for accepting credit card payments. They are charging the fee NO MATTER HOW PAYMENT IS MADE.

The main PayPAl account is able to have credit card charges and the user can withdraw large sums from the PayPal balance.
The small "free" account cannot have credit card charges for payment period! And the small free account user can only withdraw a small amount of cash from the account per month. PayPal will change the account to the main type if the user wants to do either of the forbidden things. The "free" account cost ZERO. The normal account is the one with a fee ON EVERY TRANSACTION.
So small non-business users get a free ride. The major players pay pay pay.

When I sell I never pass the fee onto the buyer but I pay PalPay for every transaction no matter how it is funded. It's just some sellers do not want you to use a Credit Card as that elimates the risk of chargebacks. Do not worry most sellers agree with me and DO NOT PASS the cost onto the buyer.Also on eBay it is not allowed to pass on the Pay Pal fee to your buyer.

Elizabeth is correct.I originally had the "free" account for about a year, then I switched to the "main" account. No charges with "free", always charged with "main".

I’m sorry to hear that your telephone developed some technical problems. I’m sure that there’s a perfectly asinine reason for this. Best not to worry and have a good wank while waiting for the repairman. Regarding my speakers, most people would not bother to ship a pair of 100 lb home made Voight Pipes from Canada to Australia. But you are obviously a discerning whacker of unmitigated proportions and therefore deserve a very heartfelt evisceration or disembowelment. I promise to pack them with utmost care and to fill the boxes with chunder (a type of packing material). Now for some great news. It so happens that I have a very good friend down under. His name is Russell Crowe and he works as a Gladiator in Woolloongabba. I suspect these people are requiring funding from a bank balance for security reasons. Paypal has major security problems (for the seller/recipient) when the buyer uses a credit card. I have personally been the victim on two occasions as a seller (to the tune of $2600 total) due to credit card fraud and chargebacks. Hence, I no longer take Paypal. I don't believe these chargebacks are possible with a bank transfer.As for the 3%, the seller would only profit this amount should he have a "personal" account or has just signed on to Paypal. Most accounts are quickly converted to "premier" or "business" accounts (whatever they call them these days) that cost 2-3% per sale.
Thats usually how I respond to spammers (whenever they are dumb enough to allow return mail!).Cheers, and give my regards to dear ol' Russ!!!! It's been ages since he's been in to my store and oiled his loin cloth!

When I get emails asking for my bank details, I usually send something invented in the hope of wasting their time like they have mine. I actual fact, I haven't had one of those bogus emails for a while...
