Sent $850 via Paypal to "Norman" for a Jungson Magic Boat Tube SACD player,... about 2 weeks after sending the payment, I got an email saying that the item I requested was "out of stock" and that I would need to change my order. I emailed him back asking him to refund my money and I haven't heard a thing from Norman since (after repeated emails still no response). Its been about 3 weeks since I sent the payment... and still no response from Norman. I've put in a buyer complaint with PayPal for non-receipt of merchandise.Truth be told, I'm not worried about the money because I sent it as a credit card payment so at worst my credit card company will snatch it back from Paypal and Paypal will have to go after Norman to get their money back (NEVER USE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!)... Funny thing is I bought a few things off of him a few years ago with no problem... Has anyone else had any issues with coemaudio?
Follow Ups:
Hi,I've only dealt with their Australian branch and they seemed fine. I bought an audio rack which they sent prior to payment. Once I received it I deposited the money into their account.
Just also a heads up on Paypal if you look in their agreement they can freeze your account if you make a claim from your credit card.
Hope it works out.
Careful now, your post may be deleted for calling people out who 'take' others money. It would seem that it is not only a popular thing to do but also one that is "encouraged".
They might be operating on a 'shoestring'. $150 electric bill, $75 cell phone, $400 car payment, $1200/mo house payment, $2.85/gal gasoline, etc.Chap is most likely broke. For many, the US is nothing like it was 30 years ago. Soon, your kids may have to work to help pay the rent.
That's why everyone is coming to this country rather than leaving right?
I know of no high-end audio shops in third world countries. I also have not sold one tube to Africa, South America, Poland, Turkey, Ireq, Iran, and dozens more over the last five years. Persons from these groups can not find a job easily or enough pay to have even the most simple life by US standards. However, being in the US does not automatically mean every entrepreneur is sucessful. In fact, over 90% of new businesses fail.
